A wonderful explanation of the consequences of living in a matrix of other peoples relationships. The Family dynamic is rarely serene and the constant interplay of emotions sets us on a journey of expecting waves, large and small in any scenario and to find ourselves becalmed can be alarming. The constant expectation of having to move forward, to do something to please, appease or succeed is hard wired. It is hard to break free of it. There is a sweeter way to experience life and it sounds like you have found it.

Thank you so much for your comment Phillipa. You described it beautifully - the way we can become so accustomed to emotional waves that stillness begins to feel unsettling. I think that is exactly what I am learning now: not how to escape life, but how to stop believing that I must constantly strive, fix, please, or endure in order to deserve it. I’m not sure I have fully found that sweeter way yet, but I’m beginning to trust that it exists. Wishing you a calm morning 🩵

Dear Willow Tree, beautifully written, there's a saying: home is where the heart is! and then most confuse it with some romantic love scenario however 'Home is where the heart is!!!', peace and quiet in the heart is gold, it is worth it to sit with your own silence and enjoy the peace and quiet in the heart, pure bliss, beingness, breathing, doing simple chores, singing and dancing, creating art, writing as you do...Thanks! I wish you a peaceful evening, Grüß Gott.
